Levin recently published Crimson Chronicles Vol. 1, available on his Web site. It catches King Crimson rehearsing and on tour through the '80s. Levin displays an eye for backstage moments, such as drummer Bill Bruford standing on his head while Robert Fripp noodles away on his guitar.
Fripp noodles? Well. If I were unable to recognize focused, intentional practising I might also refer to this as noodling. But, if I were unable to recognize focused practising, probably I wouldn’t know that I was clueless & mighty slack.
It doesn’t matter that we are clueless; it matters that we don't know we are clueless – because then we are dangerous.
